They had one day, one perfect day. They drove as the eagle flies, and he shared with her, a special place that few knew existed.

They walked a path, hand in hand, a path that led to where all was beautiful and time stood still. The cool water seemed to fall from heaven into a pool of a thousand tears.

He shared with her his fear of being alone and she vowed she would never let that happen. But would he let her keep that promise?

The eagle took them once more to a place that was high above all that could keep them apart. The protective mist surrounded them as they held each other tight before the resting eagle.

The reminisced the past and planned their future. As time went on, their fear of the future and respect for others' beliefs became greater than their belief in each other.

Denying their love seemed easier than fighting for happiness. So she had to set him free once more, until she could break the loveless ties that kept her from him.

The eagle as they knew it no longer exists,

But what of their love?....
