The Theater Tour

1,2,3

Next on our trip was the theater I used to manage in Middletown, NY. It also was in better condition than we had seen it two years ago before they were all sold. I absolutely LOVE movies and I really had a lot of fun at that job! It was the hardest and the most entertaining job I've ever had. Don't tell John though, he was my supervisor.

John custom built this ticket booth. We were glad to see that his quality workmanship held up under the "elements", but what are those creepy dolls all about?

One last thing I have to share with you, even though you will probably be scarred for life and never order soda out again in your lifetime. This is how soda is packaged. The syrup is pumped to the fountain and combined with seltzer on the way out.

Thirsty anyone?

John and I continued our journey to three more theaters. Horsham, PA, followed by Echelon, NJ, where we stayed overnight. We finished off our tour and our patience in Lancaster, PA, with what used to be the best of the theaters and were heartbroken to see it completely uncared for and filthy. It was the theater that I trained at for 3 weeks when I first started. It was a sad sight.

So we returned to our real jobs on Monday with a whole new outlook, thankful for what we have now and that we don't have to deal with all the theater headaches anymore, except on a volunteer basis.

My mother-in-law, Marlene says that the theater served its purpose. It brought John and I together in the first place.
